Heat and frenzy dominate Cairo’s ever-buzzing bazaars, marching along its chaotic traffic disrupting the peace around its ancient edifices that reign over the
cityscape. A city full of labyrinths, narrow busy streets, evocative of Naguib Mahfouz’s famed trilogy of Cairo, quiet corners, lending themselves to day dreaming of days gone past. Everywhere people are sitting in sidewalk cafes, popular hangouts, drinking tea or coffee and smoking the ever-present shisha watching the world go by.
